My favorite part of the process is ideation around new food concepts and flavors.
Hometown:
I am a Jersey girl by birth but have spent as much time on the West as the East Coast, and I fully embrace elements of each. I am happy to say that my current home is Mosier, Oregon, a small town (430!) in the Columbia River Gorge that is breathtaking in its beauty and peacefulness.
What Inspires Me:
My inspiration for all things in life comes through relationships. I love meeting new people and making a connection. My circle of family, friends and professional colleagues brings joy to my life.
Guiltiest Food Pleasure:
I love the indulgence of diner comfort food, especially those layer cakes that are a mile high with tons of frosting!
Areas of Specialization:
I have enjoyed a long and varied career that has taught me so many things! I started my career developing dressings and sauces and understand the product development and commercialization process through that experience. In a previous role leading an innovation team at a food consultancy, I became knowledgeable about consumer and sensory research, ideation, process development, food safety and food chemistry. The years I have spent in the functional ingredients and flavor industries has taught me about various technologies and application and testing approaches. Each day I pull from all that I have learned to help our clients be successful in the marketplace!
When I'm Not in the Office:
When I am not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband working on our land and connecting with family and friends over a glass of wine. As the world begins to open up, I will continue to click off the many travel destinations on my bucket list!
