I joined CuliNEX because it’s the perfect intersection of food science and culinary creativity, two passions I’ve pursued throughout my career. I love working on products grounded in both rigorous science and inventive kitchen experimentation.


Hometown:

I was born and raised in California. I lived in upstate NY for a few years where I learned that my husband is a snow bunny. Now we've landed in Seattle, where I have two amazing sisters and a wonderful food scene to explore!

What skills or perspectives do you feel you bring to clients at CuliNEX?

I bring a strong foundation in experimental design and project leadership, paired with practical experience in recipe creation and scalable food preparation. That means I’m just as comfortable troubleshooting in the lab as I am developing a delicious formula that will work at commercial scale.

Your background is quite diverse — how do your past experiences influence your work today?

My journey has included rigorous chemistry research, teaching chemistry with a focus on food science, and even hands-on recipe creation and large-scale catering. Using analytical thinking and creative culinary skill allows me to solve product challenges with precision and imagination.

What are some other fun facts about you?

I have a wide variety of interests! From making memorable wedding cakes, to managing a post-production audio studio for television, to studying molecules that could exist in space in a basement lab with no sun to be seen, to streaming video games on Twitch, to teaching college chemistry... If something intrigues me, I pursue it!
